Sparks of Insight

Sparks of InsightAffirmations change the way you think about your life. They act on the basic beliefs and attitudes that prompt your reactions, and align with the Source of all Good. But to convince your subconscious that you actually want to change, you must also take actions to reinforce your positive statements. It doesn’t matter what kind of action it is. It just needs to show your subconscious that you’re a willing participant in the transformation. This will make the change much quicker and easier for you.

Sparks of InsightYou aren’t here to live up to anyone else’s expectations, except your own. You are on your own path, to learn and grow. And you don’t owe it anyone to try to explain to them what you’re doing. They’re on their own path, and their experience does not have to be your experience. As happens with humans, they’ll view what you’re doing through the filter of their motives. They won’t be able to understand why you’re making different choices than they would. Let go of any need to convince them of your reasons. You aren’t responsible to make them accept your path. All you are responsible for is following it and being true to yourself. That’s all the Universe asks of you.

Stake Your Claim: Exploring the Gold Mine Within
By Emmet Fox

This book was the first one by this author that I ever read. The practical, spiritual advice from it made him one of my favorite metaphysical authors. Dr. Fox was a well-known spiritual teacher and his insight is timeless.

The title of the book refers to staking your claim to the good that you want in your life. Short, to the point essays about peace, prosperity, empowerment and much more form the chapters of this book. Each essay addresses a different subject, and stands alone in its wisdom.

The counsel in this book will uplift your thoughts, help you gain a more positive, spiritual outlook on what ever difficulty you might be experiencing, and help you live a richer, fuller life. Because of the short essays, this is the perfect book to read in the morning to get the day started right, just before going to sleep, or at any other time when you only have a few minutes to spare.

Sparks of Insight“There is a power for good in the Universe, and I am a part of it. Good is present and active in all of my affairs. I open my mind and heart to allow this good to flow through me, to prosper and harmonize every circumstance in my life.”

The only thing that holds back the good of the Universe is your thought. You either don’t believe it can happen, focus on the negative, or you hold onto negative thoughts about yourself and others. Once the way is open, good flows naturally through you and your life. As you affirm that you are willing to open to it, you begin to dissolve the impediments because you’ve changed your focus. And you experience more joy, harmony and abundance in your life.

Sparks of InsightWhenever you have a problem, you probably resist it, which is a natural response. But by doing so, you feed it attention and energy. “Energy flows where attention goes,” so you’re instructing the Law of Attraction to increase what you don’t want. But every problem has a solution hidden within it. You simply need to let go of your resistance and look at it differently. What would the solution result in? Greater health, prosperity, or harmony? Switch your attention to the solution. Not how it would come about, but the outcome. This stimulates your creative mind to find not only a solution but the gift hidden within your challenge.

Sparks of InsightAre you limiting your acceptance of good? If so, you’re restricting the flow of God/Universe in your life. You are a part of the Universe, as an individualized expression of It. And the Universe wants more good for Itself, since that’s the way it expresses Itself. Whatever good you desire is also a part of the Universe. So desiring more good, whether it’s prosperity, health, or peace in your life, means that you’re wanting to experience more of God/the Universe. Open your mind and heart to allowing more of the Universe, or good, coming into your life.

Sparks of Insight“I become aware of the thoughts that I think that might not be in harmony with the Universe. I train myself to transform them into the kind of idea deposits that I consciously choose. I know that my thoughts manifest their equivalent in my life.”

Your thoughts become beliefs, you act on your beliefs and they get expressed in your life. To change them, becoming aware of the negative thoughts that cross your mind is your first step. It’s not always easy, because most people life on autopilot. Once you’re aware of your thoughts, you can make a conscious choice of what you want to think and believe. Whenever you have that negative thought, you then insert the one you’ve chosen. It takes persistence and dedication, but it can be done.

Sparks of InsightYou move in the direction of where you put your attention. And the Law of Attraction uses your focus to create your good. “Energy flows where attention goes.” Have you been putting your attention on what you want or the direction you want your life to go? Or have you been focusing on what you fear or what’s behind you? To determine where you’ve been focusing, all you need to do is look at your life. Life leaves clues about this. It gives you valuable feedback that you can use to shift your attention to create what it is you want.

How does what I imagine manifest?

How does what I imagine manifest?

Flagstaff Aspen RainbowQuestion: When I imagine something in the alpha level, how does it happen in reality?

Answer: The alpha level is the state we access in meditation, self-hypnosis, daydreaming or as we’re drifting off to sleep. We’re more inwardly focused on some idea in this state. When you imagine something in the alpha level, you’re giving the subconscious mind specific directions of what you want. The subconscious must accept what you’re impressing, which it always does. EXCEPT, if you negate it with opposite statements during the day, confuse it with a different desire, or not trust it to do what you have stated.

Then, since we’re all connected, once the subconscious has accepted the idea, it then seeks out opportunities to bring it about. Have you ever had the impulse to go to a certain store, only to bump into someone you really needed to talk to?

When you place a desire in mind, trusting the subconscious to manifest it, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to several months for it to come about. When it’s delayed, it’s usually because you have a belief that’s restricting it, or aren’t trusting the subconscious enough. It won’t do anything if you don’t trust it. Start with some small desires to build your faith.

Sparks of Insight“If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.” – Lewis Carroll

When you don’t have a vision, then you don’t know where you want to end up. Even if you have goals, and achieve every one of them, they’re probably not taking you in a consistent direction. This is fine if you just want to rack up experiences and let the wind blow you. But it’s unlikely you’ll accomplish anything significant, satisfying or fulfilling if you do. The Universe will direct you to your Highest Good, but It can only give you as much of it as you can envision. So if your vision isn’t great enough, then you’ll fall far short of what you could have.
