Sparks of InsightThere is a law in physics that says, “A body at rest tends to stay at rest. A body in motion tends to stay in motion.” If you want to make changes in your life, inertia is one thing you’ll need to overcome. It’s all too easy to just hope that changes will happen if you simply think about them. But the truth is that you have to be willing to put some energy into them. What changes do you want? And how important are they to you? Are you ready to get into motion so your actions bring the changes you want?

How can I learn to believe in myself?

How can I learn to believe in myself?

Sunset Crater, Flagstaff AZQuestion: How can I learn to believe in myself?

Answer: Most people don’t believe in themselves because they’ve been programmed not to. Parents, siblings, friends, teachers, etc. have put them down, belittled them, not recognized their achievements or encouraged their potential. We tend to absorb our parents’ opinions of us and then act towards ourselves as they did.

One way to learn to believe in yourself is to begin giving yourself positive, nurturing comments. Do things that are healthy and beneficial to you.

If you can, avoid people who are negative, belittling, sabotaging. Those types of people may feel insecure in themselves, and make themselves feel better by putting you down. Distance yourself from them as much as you can, and just consider the source of who is saying the unfriendly things. You don’t have to believe them.

There’s an old saying, “To have a friend, you have to be a friend,” and the first person you have to be a friend to is yourself. You have to be willing to be in your corner and stand up for yourself when you’ve been stepped on. And you also have to honor other peoples’ rights to be who they are.

Are you paying attention to your goals and vision, or are you focused on fear and obstacles? There’s a saying, “Energy flows where attention goes.” It’s a psychological truth. Where you put your attention drives the actions you take. So you either avoid risk because you focus on fear, or you expand your comfort zone because your attention is on the possibilities. The Law of Attraction doesn’t care which you focus on. It will simply give you what is in your field of vision. So pay attention what you pay attention to.

Book Review-The Holographic Universe

Book Review-The Holographic Universe

The Holographic Universe: The Revolutionary Theory of Reality
by Michael Talbot

Like myself, many of you have seen the movie, “What The Bleep Do We Know?” If you found this movie to be as mind altering as I did, then you’ll find “The Holographic Universe” to be equally amazing.

This book goes into great detail to explain and show that we all create our own reality, and that we have the ability to create any reality that we want. Do you want to develop psychic abilities, improve your health or have more wealth? Then read this book.

Mr. Talbot tells how the universe is like a giant hologram, and that matter and consciousness work together to create and alter that hologram. He backs up his statements with fascinating information from various studies done by scientist from around the world.

When I started reading this book I couldn’t go through it fast enough. It answered questions about life and the universe that I’d had for years by combining what sounded like fanciful New Age ideas with hard scientific fact. Merging these seemingly opposite ideas created a unified explanation of existence that showed that the universe is indeed our playground.

So if you’re looking for an explanation of how the universe works, and where you fit into it, then read “The Holographic Universe.” Open yourself to its ideas and it will truly change your life for the better.

Sparks of InsightIf you want to make a drastic change in your life, it’s better to do it when things are stable and relatively calm, if you can. Stress can sometimes be a motivator, but it’s not a good time to make significant changes. When you’re stressed, your subconscious is already stretched thin to deal with what’s going on. Asking it to divert its resources to include something else that’s new would be counterproductive. You simply amp up your stress and make it harder on yourself. Once you’ve weathered the difficulty, and gotten on more solid ground, that’s the time to begin to spread your wings.
