Sparks of Insight“Our life always expresses the result of our dominant thoughts.” – Soren Kierkegaard

The Law of Attraction acts on where you’re putting your attention. Your dominant thoughts are whatever you’re filling your mind with. Are you focusing on what you want or on what you’re afraid will happen? Because the Law of Attraction will fill the mold of the thoughts that occupy your mind. It takes as its direction from them. And if you think you’re focusing on what you want, but are angry or judgmental of others, then your dominant thought is what you disapprove of. So you’ll draw more of that to you. Stay focused on your life and what you want, and you will attract that to you.

Sparks of InsightAre you limiting your acceptance of good? If so, you’re restricting the flow of God/Universe in your life. You are a part of the Universe, as an individualized expression of It. And the Universe wants more good for Itself, since that’s the way it expresses Itself. Whatever good you desire is also a part of the Universe. So desiring more good, whether it’s prosperity, health, or peace in your life, means that you’re wanting to experience more of God/the Universe. Open your mind and heart to allowing more of the Universe, or good, coming into your life.

Recreating Your Self: Building Self-Esteem Through Imaging and Self-Hypnosis
by Nancy J. Napier

Most of my clients struggle with self-esteem issues. They have feelings of shame, worthlessness, and due to old programming, don’t take the steps necessary to support their own health and well-being. This book is a great resource to anyone who has experienced these challenges.

The author addresses the subjects of healing the inner child, reviewing past abuses in the light of our current understanding, connecting with our healed, future self and much more. Especially helpful to me was the chapter on the protective parts. These parts were created to help us in a time of stress. Based on the old information, they continue to  control us, and many times this actually hurts our desire to heal. However, we can update their protection and turn them into resources that support us in the present day.

Instructions, exercises and scripts for self-hypnosis accompany each of her chapters to do the inner work and heal. This book is a wonderful addition to anyone who has read John Bradshaw’s books on healing the inner child, or who has had a dysfunctional childhood and wishes to resolve the old wounds to become a happier person.

How does what I imagine manifest?

How does what I imagine manifest?

Flagstaff Aspen RainbowQuestion: When I imagine something in the alpha level, how does it happen in reality?

Answer: The alpha level is the state we access in meditation, self-hypnosis, daydreaming or as we’re drifting off to sleep. We’re more inwardly focused on some idea in this state. When you imagine something in the alpha level, you’re giving the subconscious mind specific directions of what you want. The subconscious must accept what you’re impressing, which it always does. EXCEPT, if you negate it with opposite statements during the day, confuse it with a different desire, or not trust it to do what you have stated.

Then, since we’re all connected, once the subconscious has accepted the idea, it then seeks out opportunities to bring it about. Have you ever had the impulse to go to a certain store, only to bump into someone you really needed to talk to?

When you place a desire in mind, trusting the subconscious to manifest it, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to several months for it to come about. When it’s delayed, it’s usually because you have a belief that’s restricting it, or aren’t trusting the subconscious enough. It won’t do anything if you don’t trust it. Start with some small desires to build your faith.
