Align Your Self-Image With Your Goals

Align Your Self-Image With Your Goals

The self-image is how we see ourselves, a combination of self-esteem, self-worth and self-confidence. Sometimes, how we see ourselves doesn’t agree with reality. In that case, we need to be honest and assess the gap between where we are and where we want to be. Most of the time, we have to make changes or take some action to get our self-image to align with the real world.

Mindfulness: Being In The Now

Mindfulness: Being In The Now

Multi-tasking isn’t as productive as it might seem. It actually promotes stress, waste and fatigue. However, science is recognizing that mindfulness, or being in the moment, actually is more efficient and increases problem-solving abilities. Learning to be mindful, or focused on the task at hand, even for a few minutes a day can contribute to increased serenity in all areas of your life.

Open Your Mind To New Possibilities

Open Your Mind To New Possibilities

Whenever you focus on what’s wrong, you close the door to any improvement. One of the worst offenders is the word, “Can’t.” This word shuts the door on the subconscious looking for new opportunities. When you change your attitude from, “I can’t,” to “What if?” it opens the door for possibilities to enter your life.

New Year’s Resolutions 2010

New Year’s Resolutions 2010

This is my very first video. I wanted to address the issue that most people want to turn over a new leaf at the beginning of the year. Unfortunately, they completely overwhelm themselves with wanting to change everything in their lives. They try to uproot the whole tree. When you prioritize, and create tiny steps for a single goal, then you have a much better chance at being successful.

Christmas Caroling

Christmas Caroling

“The 12 Daze of Christmas” is one of my favorite Christmas carol parodies. I first heard it in the 1970’s, and searched for the recording for years. Then a couple years ago, Jeff found it on YouTube for me. It’s by Las Vegas entertainer Fay McKay, who sings of receiving various alcoholic beverages from her true love. It’s ironic that I enjoy this song so much, since I rarely drink alcohol. But it also demonstrates the consequences of having too much to drink.
