Sparks of Insight

Sparks of Insight“Money is the root of all evil.” Did you ever get told that? Actually, the full verse is, “The love of money is the root of all evil.” It means that if we seek money to the exclusion of all else, and not care how we accomplish it, we’ll fall off the spiritual path. Money of itself is a nonentity. It’s simply a symbol that we use for an exchange of services or products. Choosing to have more of it is as positive as wanting to be healthier. As long as it remains the means by which you can expand your experience rather than the end in itself, you’re fulfilling your spiritual purpose.

Sparks of Insight“Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it. But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it in the beginning.” – Mahatma Gandhi

This is what’s called the “self-fulfilling prophecy.” You tend to live up to your own expectations and beliefs about what you can and can’t do. If you think you can’t succeed, then the subconscious will make sure to verify that opinion. However, if you believe you can succeed, despite the odds, then everything you need will appear in your life.

Sparks of InsightMany people disconnect the material world from the spiritual plane. They think that wanting more physical good, such as abundance or prosperity, isn’t spiritual. Actually, that’s a mistaken belief that prosperity (or anything else) is separate from the Universe. Somehow, the good or abundance exists outside of the Infinite, and the Universe would frown on it. But the Infinite is in everything, including you and prosperity. Why would It withhold It from Itself? The Universe encompasses and includes all good. So start thinking of the good you want as being spiritual.

Woman with outstretched arms

“Infinite Spirit is drawing to me all the I need and desire for perfect joy, harmony, prosperity and health. Every part of me accepts this now. Only good comes to me and I recognize all that I need to do to ease its way to me.”

Mistaken thoughts and outdated beliefs are the only things that stand between you and the good your desire. As you let them go, more abundance appears in your life. And as you follow Divine guidance in any actions you need to take, this opens the doors for more good to flood in.

Sparks of InsightWhen you have a setback, it can actually be beneficial. It may be that you’ve gone too far or fast for your skills, knowledge or resources. This can be a time for you to reassess, and discover what else you need to move ahead. It can also give you the space to strengthen your current position, to allow it to support you in a better way as you begin to progress, again. So, instead of focusing on what you’ve lost or lost out on, use the experience for information and insight. And ask Divine guidance to tell you what else you need to be able to move forward with ease.

Sparks of Insight“Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will.” – George Bernard Shaw

It’s the circle of creation. Before you can create anything, you have to have some idea of it in mind, it may be a desire or even something you don’t want. As you continue to imagine it, it gains energy and structure. It draws to you that which it’s like – whether positive or negative. And eventually, you get to experience it in your physical world. So keep your imagination focused on what you want.

Sparks of InsightThe distressing conditions of your life are transitory, even it they seem to come in waves. You don’t have to react to each one as if your world depended on it. When you can step back and be a bit more objective, you’ll open yourself to more connection with your Spirit. And when that happens, you’ll have more guidance about the situation, and more peace during it.

Sparks of Insight“All of my affairs are being prospered and Divinely Guided. The one Spirit within me increasingly blesses my finances, relationships, health, and happiness. I accept only good that comes to me in full measure.”

Prosperity doesn’t only mean money, wealth and riches. It also means have better health, joy, and the best in all areas of your life. By opening your mind and heart to a greater good, you allow the Universe to pour more of it into your life.

Sparks of InsightAre you holding onto contrary ideas about your goal? Do you want to be wealthy, but despise the rich? Are you wanting to be thinner, but expecting to continue to eat as you always have? Do you want to have more peace, but constantly judge others? These are ideas that are in opposition. As long as you have beliefs that contradict each other, you won’t be able to manifest your dream. To begin to identify these conflicting ideas, you have to become aware of them. When you notice one, write it down. Once you have a pattern, find a way to change it.

Sparks of Insight“There’s only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.” Aldous Huxley

You can’t change anyone else, you can only change yourself. Even if you could, that would mean that you were taking away their free will and choice. So keep your attention on your sandbox, and stay out of your friend’s.
