Sparks of Insight“I focus on the good in my life. What I give my attention to expands. Therefore, I experience greater good manifesting.”

When you give your attention and power to fearing some conclusion, then you’re attracting that into your life. The same is true when you direct your energy to what it is that you desire to manifest. Your focus simply gives your subconscious mind the direction, “This is what I want more of,” even if it’s what you don’t want. The subconscious cannot make that distinction. It’s just giving you what it thinks you desire.

Sparks of InsightWhen you have something challenging happen in your life, bless the situation. It may not be the way you’d want it to appear, but if you curse it or resist it, you’ll just give it more energy to get worse. Instead, if you affirm that somehow, someway, something wonderful will come out of the situation for you, you’re directing your subconscious mind to put its juices to work to create something even better than you could have imagined.

Sparks of Insight“Everything and everybody that come into your life are there for one of two purposes: either to heal you or to be healed by you of some wrong attitude of mind, body or affairs.” – Catherine Ponder

I’ve known some people who wondered why they attracted certain difficult people into their lives. Even after they’d examined all the issues, nothing seemed to resonate as to what they needed to learn. However, they noticed that the other person seemed to react strongly (and sometimes negatively) to things they said or did that were helpful or benign. Sometimes the situation isn’t about you. It’s about the other person. Your lesson may be to not take things personally and remember that you’re a teacher as well as a student.

Sparks of InsightIf you feel stalled or stuck in some area of your life, meditate on it and ask for guidance. The answer is within you. Visualize and affirm the solution. If there isn’t some progress within a reasonable period of time, take some constructive action. The movement may be in the direction of your goal, or it may be in a complementary area. Simply begin to channel energy to get things moving, for action begets action. More than likely, there will be some development or direction for you.

Sparks of Insight“There is a Power and a Presence that surrounds and indwells me. It’s wisdom and love flow through me and my subconscious mind, washing it clear of all resistance to good. I feel the lightness and love fill me.”

Many times, you resist good because it doesn’t fit what you’d consciously want, feel you deserve, or are able to conceive. Recognizing the Presence of the Universe raises your consciousness above all those challenges. Since God, the Universe, is all good, and everywhere present, you’re telling your subconscious that anything blocking It doesn’t belong.

Sparks of InsightIt’s easy and natural to be angry when you’re inconvenienced, treated rudely or poorly by someone. Rather than giving in to your first impulse, try taking a mental step back and approaching it from a more spiritual direction. Imagine yourself in their situation, and ask how you would react. You might discover that, although it shouldn’t have happened, you would be in a bad mood, too. Respond with empathy and compassion, and see what happens. More than likely, they’ll moderate their actions. If they don’t, you’ll have gotten some understanding and taken the high road.

Sparks of Insight“There is nothing good nor bad, but thinking makes it so.” – Shakespeare

The Universe is all good, but the way you perceive circumstances labels them either good or bad. Then, once you’ve labeled them, the subconscious goes to work to make that true for you. It’s only doing what it thinks you want it to do. If you label something good, it will work to bring good about. If you label it bad, then it makes it a self-fulfilling prophecy. Even if something seems to be awful, create the mindset that something good will come from it. That gives the subconscious the direction to derive something that’s beneficial.

Sparks of Insight“I expect wonderful things to happen today. My attitude of expectancy opens doors for me. It releases the Power of the Universe that creates good.”

Expecting the best gives the subconscious direction to find and create the good that’s already available in potential from the Universe. Tuning into it is like turning the channel of your television. The channel you’re seeking is always broadcasting, you just need to find its signal.

Sparks of InsightTry changing the pronoun of your affirmation from “I” to “You” or “Your Name.” You respond differently when someone else encourages you. You feel believed in, validated, appreciated. In doing so, you actually become your own coach. The third person, “Your Name,” helps by being from some neutral party. It’s more objective and detached, therefore connects with the mind on a different level.

Sparks of Insight“Acceptance of what has happened is the first step to overcoming the consequences of any misfortune.” – William James

Resisting, denying or ignoring a reality just gives it more energy. Before anything can change, you have to know what needs to change. Accepting that it is so doesn’t mean that you’re giving in to it. All you’re doing is stating, “This is where I am now, and now I can change it.” The energy you were using to repress the situation can now be used to recreate the outcome.
