Sparks of Insight“God doesn’t recognize the idea of recession or constriction. The only thing the Universe knows is abundance of all good things. Circulation and an increasing expansion of prosperity is mine now.”

As a friend of mine once said, “The recession has nothing to do with my prosperity.” When you have a consciousness of abundance, it doesn’t matter what is going on in the world around you. Your consciousness will attract what is like it, and when you keep your mind focused on prosperity circulating in your life, that’s what you’ll experience.

Sparks of InsightWhen you set goals for yourself, and want to take a new path, tell no one about your plans. For one thing, negative people will drown out your enthusiasm. For another, telling people about what you want to do drains the energy needed to manifest your desires. When you keep it to yourself, energy begins to build and eventually must show up in your outer world. The one exception is if you want to tell one or two people who will completely support you. In that case, the energy increases because you have other people pulling for you.

Sparks of Insight“When there is a conflict between the will and the imagination, the imagination always wins.” – William James

When you consciously want one thing, but keep imagining it opposite, then what you visualize will be what manifests, for the imagination also includes the emotions. Let’s say you want more prosperity, but all that fills your mind is the fear that you won’t be able to pay your bills. You dwell (imagination) on your fear, and that’s what gets the attention of your subconscious. Not what you consciously saying you want. Get the two of them in sync, and watch the miracles.

Sparks of InsightWhen you start to change, whether it’s improving your self-esteem, manifesting more money, or losing weight, people in your life may start making it hard on you. They could start making fun of you, “all in good fun,” or even try to sabotage you. This is to be expected, especially when you haven’t fully incorporated your new attitudes. In a way, they’re reflecting your concerns, fears and ambivalence over changing. Your environment may object as a way of testing to see if you’re dedicated to your new way of being. Stand up to them, call them on it, because as you’re addressing the outer responses, you’re dealing with your own inner concerns.

Sparks of Insight“I set my intention for my desire, knowing that if I can conceive it, I can achieve it through the Power of my Higher Mind. I now take action, moving in the direction of my goal.”

What is it you want in your life? More abundance, better health, improved relationships, a greater joy and harmony? The thought of it is an impulse from your Higher Self wanting to express Itself in a greater fashion through you. Believe you can have it, take any actions that you can think of, and the Universe will begin to draw what you need into your orbit.

Sparks of InsightEverything is a choice. Whether to set the alarm for 6:05am or 6:10am? Will you have a bagel or eggs for breakfast? Which way will you drive to work? You are choosing something every moment of the day. What to think, do and say. It’s always in your power. Even not choosing is a choice. When you have a negative thought, you can make the decision to keep following that path, or you can turn it around and think differently. You have the power to make the choice.

Sparks of Insight“Success or failure in business is caused more by the mental attitude even than by mental capacities.” – Walter Dill Scott

It’s interesting to think that success or failure isn’t due so much to intelligence, talents, education or contacts. Studies have shown that having a positive or negative attitude is more predictive of success. Are you more optimistic and positive concerning your career? And if not, what’s standing in the way of your attitude?

Sparks of InsightIt’s been said that, “It’s better to give than receive.” You’re taught from the time you can understand that giving is so much “better.” For many people, with all that conditioning, it’s actually harder for them to receive than to give. When you’re giving, you’re in control. You’re being “good.” When you’re on the receiving end, then you’re vulnerable, and some people may feel that they’re being “selfish.” But for a person to give, there must be a receiver. And the receiver blesses the giver by accepting the gift. So if it’s hard for you to receive even a compliment, remember that by graciously accepting it, you’re giving the other person a present of love.

Sparks of Insight“I am guided, directed and inspired by the Higher Wisdom within me. Everything I need to know, do or be is made clear. I am a willing vessel for that guidance.”

You live, move and have your being in Spirit. Therefore, you are always being guided. The problem is that, like most people, you don’t hear or listen to that still, small voice, and may not like it when you do hear it. You must open yourself to Divine direction, and be willing to listen to what it says. When you do, you will find that your path is made clear for you.

Sparks of InsightIt is so easy to fall into the trap of being critical. Our society actually encourages it. When you judge another person, condition or situation, you’re limiting Universal energy from flowing through you. Judging is a false way of feeling superior or powerful. As soon as you condemn, you’ve labeled it and restricted any benefit that could come from it or to you. And many times, what you’re judging in others is what you’re critical of in yourself. When you become aware of judging any person or thing, catch yourself and stop. Realize that you may not know all the details. Lighten up with others and with yourself.
