Sparks of Insight“God doesn’t recognize the idea of recession or constriction. The only thing the Universe knows is abundance of all good things. Circulation and an increasing expansion of prosperity is mine now.”

As a friend of mine once said, “The recession has nothing to do with my prosperity.” When you have a consciousness of abundance, it doesn’t matter what is going on in the world around you. Your consciousness will attract what is like it, and when you keep your mind focused on prosperity circulating in your life, that’s what you’ll experience.

Sparks of Insight“I set my intention for my desire, knowing that if I can conceive it, I can achieve it through the Power of my Higher Mind. I now take action, moving in the direction of my goal.”

What is it you want in your life? More abundance, better health, improved relationships, a greater joy and harmony? The thought of it is an impulse from your Higher Self wanting to express Itself in a greater fashion through you. Believe you can have it, take any actions that you can think of, and the Universe will begin to draw what you need into your orbit.

In Tune with the Infinite
by Ralph Waldo Trine

Originally written in 1908, this is a classic in spiritual and mystical literature. It’s said that this was the inspiration for Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and Grow Rich. Starting from the basic fact that we are all one with the Universe, the author then describes how the Infinite affects every aspect of our lives.

The insights contained in this book uplift and transform the reader’s view of their life. Using stories, examples, and straight talk about awakening to the knowledge of the “real being,” the author writes that as we open ourselves to the Infinite, we experience more health, peace and prosperity.

This was among the first books I read when I began my spiritual journey, and helped to form the foundation of
my spirituality. It deeply explores the meaning of life, and gives specific direction on how to more fully
experience the goodness of the Infinite.

Spiritual Economics: The Principles and Process of True Prosperity
by Eric Butterworth

I love the prosperity writings of Joseph Murphy and Catherine Ponder. They are loaded with belief changing techniques and affirmations. This book comes to the subject from a slightly different perspective, and it was one that helped me release limited attitudes that I didn’t even know I had.

In the first chapter, the author explains that we are immersed in the substance of prosperity. That we cannot be separated from it, and we already have all the substance right where we are. As the book progresses, Eric Butterworth addresses many of the incorrect ideas that we’ve accepted, including our lack of self-worth. In the chapter on visualization, he describes it as “seeing from a consciousness of ever-present substance” instead of mainly picturing material objects.

Although it’s a book mainly about prosperity, it also is one that raises the reader’s spiritual awareness. Each page is packed with attitude shifting and consciousness expanding ideas and concepts. Anyone who reads this book and practices the concepts will experience an incredibly improved quality of life.

Woman with outstretched arms This Is Your Brain Under Hypnosis
As a hypnotherapist, this article was especially interesting to me. Unfortunately, so many people have misconceptions about this process, including that it doesn’t exist. Now, neuroscientists are taking an interest in and researching it. They’re beginning to understand its mechanisms. This article shows an experiment with one of those mechanisms.

You Are What You Think
Neuroscience tells us to “Be careful what you wish for,” because you may get it. Your brain follows your attention, and will take you where it thinks you want to go. This applies to both positive goals and to negative thoughts. This article gives you 4 steps to creating your perfect world and solving problems using the power of thought.

“You’ve got this!”: How “You Statements” enhance self-regulation
Life is a giant game of self-regulation. If you can manage yourself and your thoughts, then you’ll have a better life. However, it’s not easy to develop and act on these skills. Positive and supportive self-talk are very helpful in sticking to it. Research is showing that giving yourself positive support in the second or third person is much better than just saying, “I.” Learn how your inner dialogue helps you to improve your self-management skills.

Sparks of Insight“The Universe wants only the best for me. I trust the process of Life to bring only good to me. Only right action takes place in my life. ”

You are an individualized expression of the Infinite. How could the Universe want anything but the best for Itself? When you recognize that and trust that It is at work in every area of your life, you open the channels for incredible miracles to take place. The actions that then take place may not be the ones that you’d choose, but the Universe has a much broader view of your life. It can only give Itself the best outcomes that you can accept.

Sparks of InsightIt’s easy and natural to be angry when you’re inconvenienced, treated rudely or poorly by someone. Rather than giving in to your first impulse, try taking a mental step back and approaching it from a more spiritual direction. Imagine yourself in their situation, and ask how you would react. You might discover that, although it shouldn’t have happened, you would be in a bad mood, too. Respond with empathy and compassion, and see what happens. More than likely, they’ll moderate their actions. If they don’t, you’ll have gotten some understanding and taken the high road.

Sparks of InsightI’ve heard people say that, although they once had close relationship with God, they feel a distance or complete absence of the Divine. They wonder why God has abandoned them. The Universe still indwells and surrounds them. What has happened is that they’ve changed their relationship with themselves or with God. They either have moved away from their connection, by feeling depressed or traumatized, or they have evolved and they need to update their relationship. No matter what, God hasn’t moved. It’s just that they have changed their perspective. If you’re feeling distant from your center, then you’re the one who has moved.

The Dynamic Laws of Prayer
by Catherine Ponder

“Pray and Grow Rich” was the first book by Catherine Ponder that I ever read. When I decided to review it, I thought that it was out of print when I couldn’t find it under that name. I was upset, because I knew how valuable the information was. But then I was relieved to find it under the title, “The Dynamic Laws of Prayer.” The second title more closely describes what the book is about.

Prayer helps bring us closer to the God within, contact Its power and releases that energy into our lives. Rev. Ponder dispels the notion that prayer is passive and pleading with a far off deity. In this book, she describes the many different ways we can pray and that prayer is individual. By tackling the difficult issues of what to do when prayer isn’t immediately answered, she assures us that it’s to help us grow into the result.

The information goes deeply into how to approach the power within you and express it, even if there are blocks in the way. This book addresses the use of affirmations, meditation in the silence, what to do to eliminate unwanted conditions, and much, much more. As with all of her books, it is filled with affirmations. If you want to change your life, this book will give you the tools to do so.
