Sparks of Insight
It’s easy and natural to be angry when you’re inconvenienced, treated rudely or poorly by someone. Rather than giving in to your first impulse, try taking a mental step back and approaching it from a more spiritual direction. Imagine yourself in their situation, and ask how you would react. You might discover that, although it shouldn’t have happened, you would be in a bad mood, too. Respond with empathy and compassion, and see what happens. More than likely, they’ll moderate their actions. If they don’t, you’ll have gotten some understanding and taken the high road.
