Sparks of InsightMany people ask me how long it takes to make a change or change a habit. As a rule of thumb, it takes three months for the change to be complete. The first month, you’re focusing on breaking the old habit. In the second month, you’re creating a new habit to take the place of the old one. The third month is when that new habit becomes comfortable and familiar. It takes about another three months for that new habit to really get settled into your consciousness. So persist and don’t give up when you’re making changes.
